Carol Rodland

Carol Rodland made her debut with the Philadelphia Orchestra at the age of seventeen, and hasperformed to critical acclaim throughout the United States and Europe. Recent engagements have included recitals at Carnegie's Weill Recital Hall and Boston's Jordan Hall, as well as appearances with the Henschel, Borromeo, and Colorado String Quartets, and frequent tours with the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra. chamber music concerts throughout the United States and Europe. Ms. Rodland holds degrees from the Juilliard School, where she was a full scholarship student of Karen Tuttle, and from the Musikhochschule Freiburg, where as a Fulbright Scholar she studied with Kim Kashkashian. She has won first prizes at the Washington International Competition, the Artists International Auditions, and the Juilliard Concerto Competition. Her teaching positions have included professorships at the Musikhochschule "Hanns Eisler" in Berlin (1996-2001), at Arizona State University, and as guest faculty at the Juilliard School. She presently resides in Boston where she is on the faculty of the New England Conservatory.
