Constance J. Price

Constance J. Price is a musician, a gifted teacher, and founding director of the Essex Children's Choir. She has dedicated her life to music education at the highest level for children. By instilling in young people the ability to read music and to make it speak through song, Mrs. Price has brought national acclaim to Vermont. She has been a guest teacher at the Kodály Music Training Institute, Kodály Center of America, and coordinated Kodály summer courses at the University of Vermont. Awards of distinction for her work include Vermont Music Teacher of the Year. Recentrly she was made a Fellow of the Vermont Academy of Arts and Sciences. Mrs. Price is a graduate of the School of Music at Howard University, and from the Kodály Musical Institute, New England Conservatory. She has done extended studies at the Kodály Pedagogical Institute, Kesckemèt, Hungary; KMTI; Hartt School of Music; and Project Zero at Harvard University.
