Marcantonio Barone
Piano
Marcantonio Barone made his debut at the age of ten at a Philadelphia Orchestra Children’s Concert. He has returned since to perform on the orchestra’s subscription series, as well as with the Moscow Symphony Orchestra in Russia, the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra in Great Britain, the Tianjin Symphony Orchestra in the People’s Republic of China, the Orquesta Sinfónica Venezuela, the Filarmónica de Caracas in South America, and the St. Louis, Baltimore, Houston, and San Jose Symphonies in the United States. His recital engagements have taken him to New York, Washington, Chicago, San Francisco, London, Moscow, St. Petersburg in Russia, and to Belgium, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Malta. Mr. Barone’s teachers have included Harriet Elsom Rothstein, Taylor Redden, Susan Starr, Leonard Shure, Eleanor Sokoloff at the Curtis Institute of Music, and Leon Fleisher at the Peabody Conservatory of Music, where he was awarded the Artist Diploma. Mr. Barone is a Steinway Artist and records for CRI and Capstone.
