Domenic Derasse
Trumpet
Dominic Derasse, trumpeter, graduated with first Prize from the Paris
Conservatory in his native France. Since immigrating to the United
States in 1985, he has fast become one of the most sought after
trumpet players in New York. His versatility has allowed him to
perform with Eos, New York Philharmonic, Saint Luke's Orchestra,
American Symphony and over 30 Broadway shows. He has performed
live with Sting, Elton John and many others and has appeared on
numerous recordings. He can be heard on the soundtracks for more
than 70 films and in commercials for over 100 different companies.
"NBC Nightly News" is probably his most recognizable TV theme
performance. Mr. Derasse's CD of Baroque favorites should be ready
for release this summer. He has performed as a soloist and presented
master classes on five continents and appears regularly with the
Craftsbury Chamber Players. Derasse became a U.S. citizen March
21, 2001 and is a volunteer firefighter in his community.
