Kenji Bunch enjoys a multifaceted career as a leading interpreter of new music and as one of the most prominent composers of his generation. The founding violist of the Flux Quartet (1997-2002) and now a member of the performing composer group Ne(x)tworks, Bunch frequently performs his own works in recitals, master classes, and as a regular guest at chamber music festivals. A versatile musician, Bunch plays fiddle with the band Citigrass, and has collaborated extensively as an arranger, performer, and recording artist with many prominent non-classical musicians. His compositions have been performed by over thirty American orchestras, have been broadcast worldwide, and are extensively recorded. Mr. Bunch studied viola with Toby Appel and composition with Robert Beaser at the Juilliard School. He has taught at the Juilliard Pre-College since 2000.
