Dominic Derasse, trumpeter, graduated with first Prize from the Paris Conservatory in his native France. Since immigrating to the United States in 1985, he has fast become one of the most sought after trumpet players in New York. His versatility has allowed him to perform with Eos, New York Philharmonic, Saint Luke's Orchestra, American Symphony and over 30 Broadway shows. He has performed live with Sting, Elton John and many others and has appeared on numerous recordings. He can be heard on the soundtracks for more than 70 films and in commercials for over 100 different companies. NBC Nightly Newsis probably his most recognizable TV theme performance. Mr. Derasse's CD of Baroque favorites should be ready for release this summer. He has performed as a soloist and presented master classes on five continents and appears regularly with the Craftsbury Chamber Players. Derasse became a U.S. citizen March 21, 2001 and is a volunteer firefighter in his community.
