Dominic Derasse

Dominic Derasse, trumpeter, graduated with first prize from the Paris Conservatory in his native France where he performed with the "Follies Bergere", the Michel Legrand orchestra, Pierre Boulez Ensemble Intercontemporain and the Paris Opera, among others. Since immigrating to the United States in 1985, Mr. Derasse has become sought after for both his versitility and his virtuosity. Principal Trumpet for the EOS Orchestra (in New York), he has also with the New York Philharmonic, the Orchestra of St. Luke’s, the American Symphony, Concordia and over 25 broadway shows. He has appeared on numerous musical recordings, including more than 60 motion picture soundtracks and commercials for over 100 different companies. His most recognizable TV theme performance is probably for "NBC Nightly News." Mr. Derasse has performed with the Craftsbury Chamber Players (VT) in July 2001 and was the featured trumpet soloist at Carnegie Hall for the Presesntation of "H.K Gruber: Making Music" on March 18 2002. Dominic Derasse became a citizen of the United States of America on March 21, 2001.
