Jeananne Albee
Piano
Following her early training at the Eastman School of Music, Jeananne Albee received her Bachelo’'s and Master's degrees from the Juilliard School as a full scholarship student of Rosina Lhevinne and Martin Canin. She is the winner of the Merriweather Post National Competition and the Vianna da Motta International Piano Competition in Lisbon, Portugal. As soloist, she has appeared with the Lisbon Radio Symphony, the Aspen and Chautauqua Festival Orchestras, the Buffalo Philharmonic, the St. Louis Symphony, and the National Symphony in Washington, D.C. Ms. Albee has performed at the Kennedy Center and makes frequent appearances at Lincoln Center in New York City. In the Fall of 1996, she performed as guest artist with the Harrington String Quartet in Amarillo, Texas. She can be heard on a recently released CD under the Capstone Label featuring the works of composer Elizabeth Austin. Ms. Albee is a member of the faculty of the Hebrew Arts School in New York.
